Christy Shaterian is a Nashville-based portrait photographer from California, by way of Las Vegas, whose mission is for every woman to see her true beauty – and to have fun doing it. While in Vegas, Christy worked in sports marketing and operations, handling tasks such as in-game entertainment, sponsorship activation, music and merchandising. As Brentwood Lifestyle’s lead photographer, Christy can be found on high-profile shoots throughout Williamson County. When not taking photos, Christy’s either dancing or practicing her recently found love for aerial silks. She and her fiancé, Patrick, enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors. After graduating from college in 2014, Allie Myszka moved to Nashville, and couldn’t be happier to call it home. Allie fell in love with writing as a nerdy fourth-grader, but it wasn’t until her days at the University of Georgia that she began writing professionally. Maria Dinoia has been a freelance writer for 13 years. Her work has appeared in numerous publications and websites, including She’s been with Lifestyle Publications for about a year and loves covering the thriving local area. Maria and her family reside in Franklin and when she isn’t busy writing, she’s a mom to three kiddos, ages 9-14. In her spare time, she also moonlights as a project manager for a Brentwood-based hospitality design firm.


Kersta Mello moved to Nashville in 2010 after marrying my college sweetheart, Davis. Their son, Bode, is a champion tickle monster. The Minnesota native is a dual-threat contributor (writer and photographer) to Brentwood Lifestyle, works in the communications department for Williamson County Schools and is the head girls soccer coach at Brentwood High School. When the mood strikes, the former collegiate soccer player enjoys running and attempting to stay in shape. She and Davis mimic Chip and Joanna Gaines by tackling renovation projects around the house.


After a quarter century away, Jay Wilke returned to Nashville in 2012 to start a family and continue his career in marketing and communications. Although he has worked in the senior living industry for well over a decade, he still makes time to write about his passions: food, travel and beer. If he’s not traveling somewhere fun with his wife and five-year-old daughter, he can be found in local live music venues, checking out the newest hot chicken spot or sipping the latest Bearded Iris IPA. For over 18 years, Holly Cowan led corporate communications efforts in a variety of industries. During that time she discovered a love of writing that led to the creation of her own freelance writing business three years ago. The Kentucky native came to Nashville in 2009 by way of Cincinnati and now lives in Hendersonville with her husband and three young children. Shelby Savage is the newest addition to Brentwood Lifestyle, having graduated from Tennessee Tech in May. Her love for writing began when she was a little girl and flourished at Tech where she wrote for the school newspaper and had multiple internships in the journalism field. This also inspired her to create her own blog, Shelby spends her free time shopping, eating, fishing and hanging out with her family, friends and boyfriend.
